“The Preface is a very ancient, stately prayer, undeniably one of the most beautiful in the liturgy; beautiful in style, rhythm, and cadence. It leads up to the Canon, the most important part of the Mass… ’ In these days of ours when the age spirit sees all things in man, instead of in God; when it refuses to look beyond the visibly scene and exalts man’s ever-changing self into a present deity; when governments are grasping with an absolutism that is quite pagan; it is most necessary that we should daily, standing in this maelstrom of moral evil and political chaos, raise our hearts and our hands to Him, Who alone is High and Holy, the Absolute Sovereign, that inhabiteth Eternity.’”

So often, I read a Catholic author or speaker’s commentary about the sin, evil, distractions, lies, and dangers we face from others, organizations, governments, and the world and note the accuracy of the statement. I then see the date of the quote or excerpt and I’m a bit shocked that it wasn’t yesterday or last month but 10 years ago or, as here, over 50 years ago or even centuries ago.The Way, The Truth, and The Life is eternal, unchanging, and The Path is the same. Therefore, it stands to reason that, though the instruments and severity may change, our fight is against the same Evil One and his same tricks.Follow The Word. Pray and contemplate His Passion. Pray to Him, Our Mother, the saints. Do not be afraid. Always remember that Jesus has already won the battle. Ours is to persevere in holiness until our last breath.

Pope Francis speaks in the Rio slums!

"To you and all, I repeat: Never yield to discouragement, do not lose trust, do not allow your hope to be extinguished."

His own marching orders seem to be taken from Blessed Pope John Paul II, “Do not be afraid”. He, of course, is quoting Our Lord who said it often.
Truth is timeless

"truth is timeless" is the name of this Tumblr account and for good reason: truth is timeless. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, proclaims “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life." The Old Testament states The Law and Jesus came to testify to and fulfill the Old Testament. It is clearly stated what homosexuality is in the Old Testament and affirmed in the New Testament.

The real message of The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this: All are sinners. Therefore repent of your sins and follow Christ, The Way, The Truth, The Life. He has overcome sin by death on The Cross. He has defeated it and opened the door to salvation.

There is no other Way. It doesn’t matter what your sins and temptations are. Give yourself to Him and His grace will be sufficient to help you though it. All shall suffer, regardless, because of original sin. The real question is “Will we suffer only here for a short time or as well for eternity?”

We are all tempted to do what is against our best interests and the explanation is beyond the scope and space here. I challenge you on this point if you are so sure that the gay lifestyle is “normal” to do the following.

Separate yourself from the “lifestyle” first. This is akin to the Early Fathers and hermits who separated themselves from all to seek God. You can’t stay in the sin and expect to find Him. He is pursuing you now, but you must detach yourself from the sin first.

It is said well over 300 times in The Bible, “Do not be afraid.” I repeat it. You can always go back to your old ways. However, this may be the only time you are called again, over your protestations and supposed sense, to see what The Savior is calling you to.

So many are deceived and the deceived work tirelessly, and sometimes unknowingly, to spread their error. Again, my only goal is to call to you to ask you to rethink your ways.

He is calling to you. He wants to save you. Does it make sense to give ourselves over to our animalistic desires or should we accept the dignity of being called to a higher purpose?

I don’t have all the answers but He does. At least check it out, won’t you? If the life you lead is fine, you have nothing to fear by testing it’s validity, right?

I propose this to you with no malice, but rather in love without judgement for my fellow man. Thank you!

Yet another infamous day in America’s history, as witnessed by the Supreme Court’s decision on DOMA.

People know what is right and what is wrong.

When framed, twisted, contorted, and supposedly accepted as a right, it’s considered a discrimination. The act is then ignored as the evil it is and…

SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.

We fled from religious oppression. This is supposed to be the land of the free. No one is free while others are being opressed.

Well, as is apparent these days, anyone can claim to be oppressed and fight in the courts to have their “right” recognized.

You want to talk oppression? Check out “Fortnight for Freedom.”

Also, next time you reblog my post, have the decency to post the whole post. Thank you.

A Day for The Memorare

With today’s ruling and The Fortnight of Freedom already underway, I offer this powerful prayer for all to pray to The Blessed Virgin Mary, to intercede for our petitions in this troubling time and world we live in.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

"What is Truth?" said America.

Yet another infamous day in America’s history, as witnessed by the Supreme Court’s decision on DOMA.

People know what is right and what is wrong.

When framed, twisted, contorted, and supposedly accepted as a right, it’s considered a discrimination. The act is then ignored as the evil it is and the right to perform the act is enshrined.

The truth has almost no room at all in the public square today.

Same-sex marriage is plain wrong and flies in face of rationality.
Abortion is murder of an unborn child.
Embryonic stem cell research is destruction of human life.

These are no ordinary sins. The Bible clearly states these sins cry out to God for vengeance. Google the last 7 words of the previous sentence and see for yourself.
