The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Jesus appeared with His Sacred Heart revealed to St. Margaret Mary while she was at Eucharistic Adoration on Thursday night. This is why I have my Adoration time on Thursday night at 11 p.m. for the last 9 years.

This picture hung in our entryway just inside the front door of our family home when growing up. It had an effect on me I can remember til this day. This is why I now have that picture, given to me by my parents, in a frame at my place.

It was The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus that pulled me in from lukewarmness, deepened my faith, set my heart on fire with love for Him, and is the reason why I continue to embrace The Cross that I have carried through difficult times and lifted high in good times!

Take some time today, Friday, the Solemnity of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, to learn a bit about this devotion. Contemplate how His Heart burns with love for us, was pierced for our transgressions, is profoundly sad for the sins committed against It by us, and is abandoned and lonely in the Real Presence on altars and in sanctuaries all over the world. Open your heart to His Sacred Heart!

The Sacred Heart of Jesus burns with the fire of Love for us unceasingly. If only more people knew how sorrowed Our Lord is by how He is alone and forgotten in so many tabernachles around the world.

As I said in an earlier post, June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The day it is celebrated is almost always a Friday in June. This year it is celebrated on Friday, July 1st. Consequently, the following day, Saturday, July 2nd, is the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of The Blessed Virgin Mary.

I will have more on this as we get closer to the date.
